Automated Print Inspection

Automated Print Inspection: Guarantee Perfect Print Quality

In today’s fast-paced packaging and labelling industry, ensuring print quality is more important than ever. Even minor defects, such as smudges, missing text or misaligned codes, can damage your brand’s reputation, lead to costly compliance issues and result in waste.

Automated print inspection systems provide reliable real-time verification to ensure that every label, carton or package meets the highest quality standards. In critical industries such as food and pharmaceuticals, essential information such as expiry dates, batch numbers and regulatory codes must always be clearly legible. Any misprint or illegibility can result in product recalls, legal penalties, and even health risks.

Which Details of Your Print Can Be Verified?

Our inspection process enables you to identify errors early on, maintain consistency, and produce impressive prints every time. • Text and Fonts – Ensure legibility, correct spelling, and consistent typography

  • Barcodes and QR Codes – Verify scannability, alignment and code grading

  • Batch Numbers and Expiration Dates – Confirm readability and compliance with regulatory standards

  • Images and Logos – Detect misprints, distortions, or color variations

  • Colors and Contrast – Maintain color accuracy and uniformity across production

  • Graphics and Layouts – Check alignment, completeness, and proper placement

  • Variable Data Printing – Validate dynamic text, serial numbers, or personalized labels

How Our Vision System Solves It?

Our QualiVision QualiReader Print & Inspect system links the digital reference directly to the printer and camera system. This ensures that every design is printed flawlessly and automatically checked for accuracy simultaneously.
Through an intelligent teaching process, the camera learns what a correct label looks like and then monitors each individual label, including static design elements and variable data such as barcodes, serial numbers and expiry dates. The result is seamless quality control, error prevention and maximum efficiency in real time.

Digital Reference

The digital reference is the perfect template for error-free printing.
It uses the original, error-free design data to create an exact template for printers and inspection systems. This enables the system to detect even the slightest deviation and ensure that every print meets the highest quality standards. Variable data such as serial numbers, barcodes and QR codes are also taken into account, enabling the correctness of all dynamic elements to be checked as well as the print quality.

Golden Label vs. Digital Reference

A Golden Label is a physical print sample that is manually checked and serves as a reference. However, minor flaws such as smudges or unclean edges are often overlooked, and variable data cannot be used as a reference. In contrast, the digital reference provides a perfect, error-free template covering both static and variable print elements, ensuring seamless, automated quality control.
